But Jesus did not come only to unlock doors. He came to set captives free. John 8:36 says, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” (NKJV). That verse does not describe partial freedom, pretend freedom or freedom that only exists in theory. It speaks of real freedom. Deep freedom. Freedom that reaches the heart, mind, spirit, identity and future.

Before Sarah Connor became the mother of the future, she was simply trying to live. Then fear found her. Violence found her. A war that had not happened yet reached backward through time and put her name on a death sentence. But Sarah did not disappear. She survived. She changed. She prepared. She became the wall between her son and the machines that wanted humanity’s future destroyed before it could even begin.

You may still have prayers waiting to be answered. You may still have dreams you have not reached and areas where you need to grow. But stop for a moment and look back. There may be things you can handle today that once would have broken you. There may be decisions you can make now that once terrified you.
