Gifted by God with a passion and talent for writing, Tyrone Tony Reed Jr. has been telling stories since he was a teenager, inspired by the heroes of his youth—especially Superman’s alter ego, Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter at The Daily Planet. Like Kent, Tony’s journey began in the world of journalism, where his voice first found wings as he tackled issues that mattered to his community. From writing impactful articles as a teen panelist for The Commercial Appeal to earning accolades at The Teen Appeal and Franklin College's The Franklin, Tony’s dedication to truth and storytelling has always been at the heart of his work.

Throughout his career, Tony has not just reported news; he’s told the stories that mattered. Whether covering high-profile trials, uplifting his community through feature stories, or capturing the energy of comic book culture, his work resonates with authenticity and heart. His efforts earned him recognition from various journalism awards and the respect of his peers and readers alike.

But Tony’s journey doesn’t stop at journalism. As the author of the S.O.L.A.D.™: Soldiers of Light Against Darkness™ series, he brings to life heroes who embody the eternal struggle between good and evil. His novels have opened doors to speak at conventions, share his love for superheroes, and inspire others to find their own light in the darkness. From guest appearances at Superman Celebration, Akron Comic Con, and Covington Comic Con, to panels at MidSouthCon and emceeing Haywood Comic Convention, Tony has shared his knowledge, passion, and love for writing with audiences who, like him, are drawn to the power of stories.

Beyond his books, Tony continues to impact his community through his talk show, "Hub City Now with Tyrone Tony Reed Jr." (where he highlights the everyday heroes making a difference) and his podcasts, "Tad & Tony's Overdue Movie Reviews" and "Picture This:". He lives by his belief that everyone has a story worth telling, and through his works, he encourages others to embrace their own narratives of hope, courage, and resilience.

With his wife Tajuana by his side, Tony is on a mission to inspire, entertain, and illuminate through the power of words. As he continues to build his legacy, Tony’s goal is simple: to shine a light in the darkness, one story at a time.
